It doesn’t matter if you are a bathroom singer or a seasoned performer, social singing is fun.  We have fun learning acapella songs by ear (so no need for musical knowledge or experience).  We are not striving to sing perfectly rather it is perfect that we sing.  Everyone can sing so everyone is welcome: no auditions required.

The songs come from a wide variety of genres, including many Community Music Victoria (CMVic) songs.  All are acapella so that they are readily accessible to everyone anytime.  Gain confidence and pleasure as you learn new songs or revisit old songs, then let your voice soar with everyone else’s.

Since Larking About’s inception Fiona has had a wonderful time organizing community singing groups, special singing events – providing fabulous opportunities to sing in exciting places such as waterfalls, lookouts, the Latrobe Reading Room (the Dome Room) in the State Library, and other venues not normally accessed for singing.  There are also workshops for team building, bushfire recovery, fundraising and just for fun as well as courses on specific music, such as her annual Christmas Carol series!

“Without music, life would be a mistake.”
